Tobago - 17th Century Anchor
sketchfab
This 17th century anchor lies firmly embedded in the reef at Rockley Bay, Tobago - just a short distance from the infamous cannon wreck. The two sites are likely connected, suggesting that this anchor was deployed and subsequently lost during the intense 1677 Battle of Rockley Bay. A thorough investigation into the underwater heritage site is currently being spearheaded by Dr. Kroum Batchvarov of the University of Connecticut.
