You can use M92 in your G-Code to adjust the steps/mm. And you need a coupling 5mm - 8mm. The Head assembly shows the arrangement of the parts. if you don't want to play with the firmware you can disconnect the heater cardridge and the thermistor and use a 330 ohms resistor instead of the thermistor. So the load and unload function works without any problems.
