To revive a unicorn
thingiverse
This model is a central piece of art project "To revive a unicorn", pushing 3D-printing's ability to make art universally accessible, turning it into an everyday experience. It also shows how this technology lets people reshape art, give it new uses, and find fresh contexts for art pieces. As part of the project, I encourage everyone to use this model in whatever way they can think of - remix it, modify it, or just print and use it as is, however you see fit. Please share photos, models, and other documentation of what you create with it here or on Instagram with hashtag #toreviveaunicorn. Thanks for your contribution! Instructions This full size was printed successfully in PLA on Makerbot 2x at 210 degrees Celsius extruder temperature and 60 degrees Celsius build plate temperature. The medium quality solution used standard 10% infill. It might work better with higher resolution and less infill, I'd love to know the results. Smaller size has been printed successfully on the same machine in PLA at similar settings and ABS at 220/110 temperatures.
