Tmount (M42) to DIN microscope objective adapter
thingiverse
Be aware that the internal threads are 60deg standard profile, NOT the Whitworth of the objective, as OpenSCAD threads library doesn't support it. I was able to force the threads when I printed this from ABS, but PLA will likely not be so forgiving. If you scale up or down, you will have problems -- you will need to modify your extrusion if the fit is too tight, as scaling one side affects the other (internal vs external). You should consider slicing the tube with lower resolution for the tall sections and higher resolution for the threads. Slice the first 5mm and last 5mm at 0.1mm and the rest at 0.3mm. I'm working on an assembly where the threads are insertable for less advanced printing, keeping in mind it's a very tall and skinny print. It's best to print with a brim to prevent warping. Note: I scaled internal threads up by 1% to compensate for Whitworth vs standard thread.
