TMMC COMMUNITY SHIELD COVID19
thingiverse
DIY protective shield for conventional ball hats designed for non-medical use. Use at your own risk, adjusting shield on your hat as needed to ensure adequate coverage. Sanitize shield and parts regularly. Read the attached PDF file for detailed instructions. This design was created by a team at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada and is now available for open-source use. Feel free to print and provide shields to non-medical frontline workers who need them, or keep some for yourself as needed. Printing notes: • Print orientation affects maximum strength. • Use 0.2 layer height for aesthetics; 0.3 may be sufficient for strength. • Light support is recommended but should only touch the build plate. • After printing, loosen the hinge by flexing the shield zip tie halfway on a flat surface or table, grasping the hat side.
