A fragment of a wooden writing tablet has been discovered at the archaeological excavations in the Tuomiokirkkotori of Turku, Finland. The piece belongs to the collections of the Museum Centre Tuomioja. Three-dimensional scans were made using RealityCapture software from a series of 385 photographs. The original polygon mesh was simplified from 9,567,492 polygons to 334,862. This digitalization project was carried out jointly by the Department of Archaeology at Åbo Akademi University and the Museum Centre Vetus and Ars Nova in Turku, Finland.
