A wooden latrine seat broken into three parts has been found at Åbo Akademin's archaeological excavations on the university's property. The wooden seat belongs to the collection of Turun museum center. A 3D model was made with an Artec Leo 3D scanner. Each fragment was scanned twice, and the finished 3D digitization of the fragments has been combined into its original shape in Blender software. The original polygon mesh has been simplified from 6,656,042 polygons to 465,922 polygons. The digitization project is a joint effort between Turun university's archaeology department, Turun museum center, and Aboa Vetus et Ars Nova -museum.
