Tlaloc Mask
sketchfab
I fell deeply in love with an antique mask, a relic that has captured my heart, and I decided to recreate it as a challenge for myself and my students in my course. This remarkable likeness represents Tlaloc, the mighty Aztec god of rain, water, and earthly fertility. The base was crafted in Mudbox, while the intricate geometry for the turquoise tiles was brought to life using a combination of 2D and 3D techniques in Substance Painter and Zbrush. All final textures were carefully created in Substance Painter. The finished model is a low-poly masterpiece with a displacement texture that I baked into the mesh, allowing it to shine on Sketchfab.
