Titan Extruder Cable Saver for Bowden Gimbal Mount
thingiverse
I've created a gimbal mount for my titan extruder, but this puts stress on the cable attachment mounting point. This solution removes the stress from the cable attachment while extending the cable out so that it doesn't get tangled in the gimbal mount. Additional Material: -- About 75mm PTFE tubing (7mm OD). Preparation: 1. Cut along one side of the PTFE to open up the tubing so you can place the ribbon cable inside. 2. Place the tubing (with wiring inside) into the opening of the cable saver. The opening is 6mm and will compress the tubing quite a bit. This is by design, so the tubing doesn't come loose. 3. Connect the ribbon cable to the stepper motor, gently pulling the cable through the tubing (see picture). 4. (Optional) Use small zip-ties to secure the tubing and cable saver to the underside of the extruder setup (see picture). 5. Attach the Titan Extruder to the Titan Bowden Gimbal Mount for FT-5r2.
