Titan Aero X Carriage for the Crearibo mod
thingiverse
Hi All, This carriage was designed for the Crearibo mod by MikeyMCC https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3143998 Two versions are available: 8mm and 10mm rods. Almost forgot: The offset of the Probe is X16.62 Y27.61 :) This holds the Titan Aero Extruder + Hotend, while the nozzle remains on the same xy coordinates as the Bondtech carriage on the mentioned mod. You will need the E3D pancake stepper because the standard nema stepper will collide with the aluminum extrusion. The plug will remain underneath. I thought about modifying the design to put the plug on the left. This includes a stable holder for a BLtouch (mounted by 2 small woodscrews from underneath). You will inevitably lose X (266) and Z (370) space when using the same fan duct as me, but I will see if I can create an alternative where there is less or no loss on X. I had to sandpaper the holes a little to hold the Igus bushings. It was either printed without supports or my steps calibration on my Z-axis was off because it was a little eclipse. Please comment if this also happened with your print. I used a 10mm drill and glued sandpaper on it, scraping the hole a little bigger. Maybe you can use a 15mm Drill? I didn't have one. There is plenty of space on top of the Extruder for additions. I thought about adding a filament runout sensor. If you download this, please give a like. If you made one, please post a make. If you have an idea or criticism (please only constructive), then comment. **EDIT V2** So, I've added a self-constructed fan duct and a filament runout sensor holder for a Creality endstop. With this fan duct, the maximum X is increasing up to 287mm (from 266). I've added three files for the duct: Base, Pipe, and complete. I printed it in two pieces. Maybe someone finds a method to print it in one piece. For the two-piece solution, the pipe has to be glued onto the base. I activated Support only from the build platform. Please post a make and comment if you have any idea to improve it.
