Titan Aero Mount for IR and PINDA probe
thingiverse
E3d's Titan Aero extruders are a hit, but they often get bulky when paired with cooling fans and probes. This design aims to tackle that issue by integrating the fanduct directly beside mounting. The curved fan duct cleverly avoids the large gearing on the Titan, while its specially designed interior ensures optimal airflow. And the best part? It prints without supports! This innovative extruder is designed for seamless integration with a standard OpenBuilds gantry plate via two M5 screws. I've also optimized it to fit my newly designed Andromeda printer. Plus, it features a mount for a 10-15 dragchain from Ooznest.co.uk. Several updates have been made to improve this design. Modularization is underway, resulting in a new P.I.N.D.A.-compatible mount. Two new fan ducts are now available: one for affordable Chinese heater blocks and an experimental version for E3d V6 blocks. The IR edition currently requires Volcano due to its specific mounting distance, but the P.I.N.D.A. version is compatible with all systems. The P.I.N.D.A. version even retains holes for IR sensor mounts, perfect for cable management. Mounting is a breeze, especially if your printer uses an OpenBuilds gantry plate. I've also included a step-by-step guide to make the process even smoother. Now it's time to see what you can create with this design - share your makes and let's get printing!
