Titan Aero integrated Ender 3
thingiverse
I wanted a major upgrade from my Titan extruder's V6 hotend to the Aero, so I purchased an Aero plate and installed it, but unfortunately, it didn't fit properly. After researching online, I discovered Hangtight's bracket for the Aero (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3078853), which allowed me to integrate the housing onto the bracket, enabling me to utilize the bearings and sprockets from my existing extruder. However, the cooling fan was pulling air instead of pushing it, so I made some adjustments to the part's design to accommodate clips on the glass bed. So far, I've printed 10 hours of ASA at 260°C without any issues or melting. To prepare for the print, I split the bracket in half along its longer axis using Prusaslicer to avoid using supports, as ASA doesn't like them. Then, I glued the two halves together with Bison glue, and before gluing, I hot-pressed an M3 nut into the most offset hole, which is necessary for screwing parts together later. All screws were reused from my extruder. This print was made with ASA, and as a note, this design is specifically created for fi10 bearings; however, there are also extruders that use fi9 bearings.
