Titan Aero Extruder Body and Idler Arm
thingiverse
The plastic casing on my Titan Aero snapped - I wasn't eager to buy another one, so I browsed online for designs. Since none were particularly great, I decided to create my own! Keep in mind that you'll still need the bearings and gears, which can be bought separately from Aliexpress at a lower cost. Idler Version A includes an insert for a 9mm diameter bearing (suitable for cloned extruders with the bearing on the extruder). Idler Version B features a regular hole slot instead. I've also added the extruder idler STEP file in case anyone wants to make modifications. Both idlers require a pin-head M4 screw to secure the idler bearing/pulley in place. This model necessitates a short length of Bowden tube (which prevents wear on the idler over time). SUPPORTS: The Titan extruder body requires supports at three locations: under the tensioner spring slot, in the circular slot for the stepper motor, and one for the nut-insert. The Titan idler needs supports inside the idler wheel (middle slot for bearing), but not in the area with the Bowden insert. This print has tight tolerances - ensure your printer is properly calibrated or the results might not meet expectations. Some post-processing will be necessary to clean up areas.
