!!!The Image in the description will look slightly different then the Printed Files, this was a prototype. Also the new Version is a bit Higher!!! This Project was made to reuse old LED Strips what the most of us have at home. You can use new one (the right), but you also can upcycle a old piece of LED Strip. I am talking from the old LED Strips what have no adressable LED's. Iself used by my first Version a old 12 Volt LED Strip what have just white color, and just a positive and negative to connect, thats it. Something like this you will need here too. If you use 4pin LED's, then you must soldering all connections to get white, or if you want to make a colored Lamp it's up to you..different connection make dif. color. Btw it should be indoor Strips, because they are the half size and will fit. The Waterproof Version will NOT Fit. (If you want to use the Transparent Lid) Okey now where we know what LED Strip we need the next step will be to take a small but stiff cable and go through every piece you have printed, from the LED Box to the Base and soldering the end of the cable to the LED Strip if you have'nt already, and then pull carefully on the other side of the cable and put the Parts all together. You can use a drop or two of UV-Resin and glue the Parts together that you get one stable lamp. (It is okey to use Glue, nobody ever want's to open the lamp again) Now install the switch and optional you can cut the small cable by the swith and soldering from there a thicker cable what comes out from the lamp to get a better look. That with the thicker cable is again totaly up to you. To make a good project you can take a piece of cable ties and roll it after the switch over the cable to hold it in place if somebody pull strong on the outher cable. The last Part you should have print Transparent and this part come on the LED Box to close the LED Strip and hold it in place since the original Glue will not hold that long. This Part is the reason why you should have take a cheap Led strip with no rubber thing on it what makes it whaterproof, otherwise the transparent part will not fit. Maybe i will change that in the future but for now it will just work with the small Strips. It's surely up to you how u do, when you use a fat strip then you don't even need to print the transparent part and just keep that open. How u connect the Lamp to the Source it's TOTALY up to you.
