Tires for xecutors Neato-Wheels
thingiverse
When printing the rims by executor, why not print the tires too? Because my VR100 has lost a lot of its tire profile and got more and more problems on carpets and door sills. I designed at first a tire with a profile similar to the original one (neato_wheel_tyre_original.stl). To improve the traction on door sills, I later made a second version for myself (neato_wheel_tyre_climber.stl). It makes a bit more noise on hard ground but because I'm not at home when the robot is cleaning this doesn't matter to me. Maybe that this version will be helpful for other users with complicated ground too. Both models don't need support structures. Recommended print settings: Material: white or clear TPE or TPU with shore 85A or lower Extruder temperature: 235°C Print bed temperature: 80°C Print speed: 25mm/s Estimated print time per part: 2 hours Material per part: approximately 15 grams I printed directly to the glass plate without capton tape because on earlier tries the adhesion of the TPE on the tape was so strong that I lifted the tape from the glass plate when removing the parts. Edit 2016/06/26: Added the model "neato_wheel_tyre_climber_V2" for better climbing Print Settings Printer: FlashForge Dreamer Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.20mm Infill: 100% Post-Printing If necessary, use some drops of super glue to fix the tires on the rims or scale the tires to 99%. I didn't need glue. The tires are sitting tight on the rims with 100% scale. How I Designed This Designed with FreeCAD
