Tire-x Dirtbike Tire Remover

This design is for my entry into the Dirtbike Tire Changing Tool Challenge. It's my first shot, so please let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions, they're much appreciated. This tool is designed to accommodate a variety of different dirtbike wheels, and the range of tire sizes this tool will work for is listed below. Wheel width (measured from brake disc to sprocket): 9" max Rim Outer Diameter: 12" min, 19" max Axel Diameter: .75" min, 1" max Each of these dimensions was set by doing research on standard dirtbike tire sizes, and each can be adjusted if a different range is required. This design features a threaded rod which runs through the center axis of the wheel, two threaded clamps (tapered to both accommodate a variety of axle sizes and to self-align), a lever arm, a delrin tire-removal tool, and a rotating handle. The lever is made from steel for strength, while the handles can be made from ABS or delrin. The tool used to remove and re-set tires is made from delrin so not to damage the rim of the wheel during use. The total weight of this design is 1.75 lbs, including the steel lever, threaded rod, and all plastic components. It is very modular so as to accommodate any dirtbike wheel, and the lever allows for easy use. Please look at the instructions and attached models/renders and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE 6/12/12 Added a Rev A with some adjustments for overall strength (changed rod thickness to 1/2-13, bent lever to shorten moment arm on the delrin tool, and did a full DFMA analysis in order to make each part more manufacturable).
