This tool is a classroom essential designed to create realistic tire impressions for analysis without requiring actual tires. Forensic teachers will find it invaluable as they teach students the intricacies of tire impressions and how to analyze this critical aspect of forensic investigation. Four interchangeable tread patterns are included, each easily swapped by sliding one out and another in its place. The treads slide into the tool from a single open side, making it easy and secure to use. This versatile tool can be used on any soft, malleable surface or substance to create reliable impressions. Due to printing limitations, these patterns are not exact replicas of actual tire sizes but rather original designs that meet our standards. This innovative tool was created in McDeltaT's advanced engineering class as a school improvement project aimed at simplifying one teacher's job. Our forensics teacher expressed a desire for more engaging ways to teach tire impressions, a crucial component of many investigations. With this goal in mind, we designed the tire tread roller to enhance an already outstanding course. ThanMuffin was also instrumental in bringing this concept to life.
