Tire Tread Depth Gauge
thingiverse
This is a tire tread depth gauge that you can use to test your tires and see if they need to be replaced. If you live in an area where it rains regularly, you're good until your tires have worn down to 4/32" or 3mm of tread depth. If you live somewhere it snows often, the experts recommend changing your tires at 5/32" or 5mm of tread depth. If your tires are down to 2/32" or 1.6mm, they're considered legally bald and should be replaced right away. UPDATE 3/2/19 - A new version with a ring tab has been added so you can attach it to your keychain. The thickness of the gauge has also been increased in this latest version. Version 4 is the upgraded version, while version 3 remains the original one.
