Tipi - Top enclosure for 3D printer - Two Trees Sapphire (Sapphire S3 Black - Enclosure Version) Example was printed with ASA filament, using a 1.0mm nozzle for fast prototyping. 330X330 or bigger - Recommended print surface! Update: January 11, 2019 - I completed the print, but the parts barely fit on the print plate (TRONXY 330X330), and this caused built-up tension to rip off the print surface from the support. Therefore, I strongly recommend printing directly on glass or a bigger print plate! Unfortunately, I don't have a bigger printer, or at least a glass 330X330, so I'm unable to test my theories. If anyone printing this wants to share their experience with the rest of us, please don't be shy! October 29, 2019 - New design Tipi 5: I designed a stronger base for the tipi, and I hope it will be able to withstand built-up pressure. It comes in two versions: 1mm and 2mm. I strongly recommend using a printer with an enclosure! Unfortunately, the second trial failed again - Tipi 3. I ensured good adhesion for the first layer, but built-up tension started to rip off (unglue) the printing surface (BuildTak-like) from the support. October 29, 2019 - See the first failure of the Tipi 2 print: a lot of tension due to the design, and if I won't be able to print the part due to warping... part design will be modified! However, I think it's just the poor quality of my print surface. October 28, 2019 - Change base file I strongly recommend using filament with a high melting point like ABS or ASA since temperature can exceed 70 Celsius! The main body has Build Plate Adhesion built-in and needs to be removed after printing. Ensure the adhesion of the first layer is good, and I also recommend using a BRIM.
