TinyWhoop Led Gates
thingiverse
This is a set of connectors and bases to build FPV racing gates for Tiny Whoops. I already printed all of them and built amazing fpv led drone gates to play in my living room. The gates are WIFI connected, can be synchronized together, can be programmed with a vast array of colors and effects, macros etc. There are 3 different sets: Square, Hex and a Pole Each one needs materials in different quantities. * nodemcu: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004797368855.html * leds : https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004433352389.html * PETG 14x10 tubes https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33015299100.html * usb cables * usb powerbank The best bang for the buck is by making one hex gate (3 tubes + 150cm of leds) and one pole (1 tube and 50cm of leds), this leaves no leftover material and has the best efficiency in using all leds and tubes. the software used is WLED to run the leds. WLED: https://github.com/Aircoookie/WLED 0) install wled in the nodemcu using the web installer (install.wled.me) 1) print the supports 2) run the usb wire and the 3 wires in the supports, route the usb wire from one side to the other and then inside to lock it in place, the 3 wires from the top hole. 3) with the wires coming out from the top solder them to the proper connection on the strip (5,G,D), usb power wires to one side of the led strip and 3 mcu wires to the other led strip side. 4) solder the wires to the MCU (5v, G, D4 for signal they are all one next to the other and G,D3 for the push button if you have one) 5) test with a battery that it works (this is why you need wled installed) 6) install the tube starting from the base and being careful not to break the strip 7) test again before closing 8) put some glue in the connections to make it solid 9) get good at FPV by flying into those amazing gates. customize the rgb, add a button, print more and throw an fpv party ... This non commercial, if you intend to build the gates to sell them or for business, you are not allowed to do so.
