TinyTrainer Glove (arm guard with zip tie)

These are Five33 TinyTrainer TPU arm guards which fit like a glove and have a built-in reusable zip tie to hold the canopy down, making it much easier to take the canopy off to get to the internals. It's designed for the current version of the frame with oblong holes to accommodate 12x12 and 9x9mm motor mount patterns. There are 6 variants of the design for the 2mm thick carbon frame: 12x12mm motor mount with zip tie 12x12mm motor mount with zip tie, mirrored for symmetry 12x12mm motor mount without zip tie (use normal ones) 9x9mm motor mount with zip tie 9x9mm motor mount with zip tie, mirrored for symmetry 9x9mm motor mount without zip tie (use normal ones) The 12x12 & 9x9 differences are just where the holes are for the heads of the motor bolts. A set of 4 will take about 90 minutes to print, make sure all support material is removed after. Your printer needs to be really dialled in to print these, I got a tip to get excellent TPU prints with almost no stringing on my Prusa i3 Mk3 which I now use all the time - set retract to 4mm, Z-lift to 0mm and cooling fan at 100% all the time. ________________ Installing the guards is a little tricky since they're very snug from being accurately designed, but they can be installed on a fully built quad. Look at the pictures with the yellow arrows - first slide it onto the end of the arm at 45 degrees then rotate it round so one side and the end is snugly in, then stretch the rest of the guard over the arm. The zip tie part, first pull on the tab to stretch it out and loosen it up, then pull the tab through the hoop and upwards, making it pull right through and latch, you may need pliers to do this on first instillation. Undoing the zip tie part is quite easy - grab the tab, pull it and twist it 180 to 360 or more degrees to make it skinny & slip out of the hoop. Lastly, if the TPU zip tie part does break it's not completely ruined, you can simply cut those parts off and use normal zip ties or an elastic band wrapped round a few times (what I used to do before I designed the glove).
