TinyRM - Smallest possible filament run-out monitor
thingiverse
This is a compact optical filament run-out monitor/sensor that I've designed to be as small and lightweight yet reliable as possible, measuring 37 x 25 x 12.5 mm in size. It incorporates extremely small Neodymium magnets, which serve as a spring replacement for the lever, allowing for smooth operation. To see it in action, check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADsNyAwer2s Here's what you'll need to build one: 4 x Neodymium disc magnet, 3 mm in diameter, 1 mm thick 2 x Philips screws 2.2 mm by 6.5 mm For EU residents, these magnets can be sourced from https://www.supermagnete.at/eng/disc-magnets-neodymium/disc-magnet-3mm-1mm_S-03-01-N Update: I've added the STEP file so you can modify or remix this design to suit your needs.
