TinyG V8 mounting frame
thingiverse
I created a new mounting frame for the TinyG motion controller that uses an 80mm case fan and has mounts for 20-series extrusion, allowing easy attachment to CNC routers or 3D printers. As most of the TinyG units will be used with CNC routers or 3D printers, there are likely to be some 20-series extrusions nearby. To address this issue, I added mounting holes for attaching to the existing 20-series extrusion. Since the TinyG controller loves its cooling and it helps prevent overheating, I incorporated mounts for an 80mm case fan into the design. The PCB and fan itself provide ample lateral strength, making it unnecessary to worry about rigidity in this area. If you wish to attach a fan to your TinyG motion controller or want increased accessibility, printing both parts is necessary - top and bottom units will function interchangeably.
