TinyG Enclosure for Shapeoko 2
thingiverse
The Synthetos-designed case for TinyG fits snugly onto a Shapeoko 2 endplate. A cutout on its front side enables fans to be securely attached - Inventables' 24V fan is a good fit. The back of this box sports numerous holes designed for exhausting heat from the lower surface-mounted heat sinks, allowing cool air to flow unobstructed around these vital components. Its interior features carefully positioned slots and cutouts for routing various connectors: motors, limit switches, and other wiring connections will never be at a loss for where to be securely stashed away within this ingenious compartment. Four screws, either 4-40 or M2-sized, hold it firmly in place - though it's worth noting that the mounting hardware included may require minor drilling to get a precise fit, but the results are well worth any extra effort required. The images accompanying these specs don't showcase screw installations yet they do exist now and usage has shown this solution to function flawlessly.
