Tiny Whoop Type FPV Camera Mount and Cover
thingiverse
Here’s an alternative camera mount and cover for Tiny Whoop type FPV quads that I came up with as a solution to the problem of propellers being visible in the camera view. I bought a Makerfire version based on the Eachine E010, and then decided to try moving the camera forward so the propellers wouldn't be obstructing my view. This tweak doesn’t impact the balance of the quad at all and it flies perfectly with a much better view now. The Makerfire version has a connector for the camera which makes it easy to install. If your quad doesn't have a connector, make sure you put the camera into this mount before soldering the leads to the circuit board as the camera won’t fit through the cover afterwards. I haven't tried mounting this to other versions of the Tiny Whoop such as the Inductrix yet. If you print this and it doesn't fit your specific quad, please let me know so I can add a warning that it only works for the Eachine E010. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 15 Notes: Be careful removing the support as this part is quite thin and can break easily. I designed this part using Fusion 360, which proved to be essential in generating the swooping cover with its loft tool. After designing it, I used Simplify 3D to slice it correctly. Since this is a thin part, it was crucial to preview the printing to see how each wall would be printed to avoid any issues.
