A resourceful individual crafted an innovative alternative for attaching the camera during a mullet mod project. This approach secures the camera onto the lens barrel rather than the base, resulting in a lighter and more versatile mount that has proven effective on numerous cameras, including one actual mullet mod. The camera fits snugly into the mount. The original design featured a moderate angle that suited my preferences; however, I adjusted it to be even less aggressive, reducing the angle by approximately 5 degrees. As a result, the camera will experience some sagging within the mount, but for me, this is ideal. Two alternative designs are presented: one features a lower angle, while the other has the top section removed. To utilize the latter design, a small amount of 3M VHB tape or a similar adhesive material is necessary to secure the camera in place. I employed this approach for both options, and it seems that both might benefit from additional support. The rationale behind the second design is twofold: it becomes challenging to remove the camera due to the adhesive properties of the tape, and the tall tabs obstruct the installation of a canopy if desired. In such cases, trimming the tabs after printing resolves this issue.
