TINY TIE - 3D PRINTABLE INDOOR FPV TIE FIGHTER QUADCOPTER
myminifactory
The Tiny TIE is a DIY 3D printable indoor first person view (FPV) racing platform inspired by the iconic TIE fighter. It boasts performance similar to that of the Inductrix and the Tiny Whoop, making it a thrilling experience for pilots. With FPV, you can fly the drone while watching the video feed from the onboard camera in near real-time, giving you an immersive feeling like you're piloting the quadcopter yourself. The wings serve as landing gear, protecting the props against accidental impacts and ensuring the drone's stability while maintaining responsiveness. You can see the Tiny TIE in action by checking out this video: https://youtu.be/5lgLsWzeimo. For more updates on this design and other 3D printable creations not yet available on Thingiverse, visit our website at http://www.3drebeldesign.com. To assemble the Tiny TIE, you'll need the following essential components: Flight Controller: We've tested the Tiny TIE with both the BeeCore and BeeBrain flight controllers, but there are numerous other excellent options available. You can find a variety of flight controller choices here: https://amzn.to/2xfk4VV. Propellers: The Tiny TIE requires 4 Blade/Inductrix/Tiny Whoop propellers, with 2 CW and 2 CCW rotating blades. You can choose from various colors and sets here: https://amzn.to/2NdWV0V. Motors: The drone needs 4 of 6x15mm coreless brushed motors, with 2 rotating CW and 2 rotating CCW. You can find some options here: https://amzn.to/2MwxWkb. Camera: While the Tiny TIE can be built without FPV support, it's much more enjoyable when you fly with FPV. To implement FPV, you'll need a FPV compatible 5.8GHz camera and transmitter. Here are some options to consider: https://amzn.to/2MzeEe5. To mount the camera on the flight controller, you'll need an appropriate camera mount. STLs for the camera mount are included here, but you can also find custom mounts for different cameras on Thingiverse. FPV Goggles: To operate in FPV mode, you'll need FPV goggles that receive the 5.8GHz video signal and display the video. We use the FatShark V3 goggles, but you can find alternatives here: https://amzn.to/2Mxtu4y. Radio: Of course, you'll also need a radio. There are many options available, and we use a Spektrum DX9, but there are more alternatives here: https://amzn.to/2QwJJlx. *affiliate links
