Tiny Soft Robotic Actuator
thingiverse
This is an ultra-slim soft robotic motorist. When totally filled, it will twist roughly 90°. To create one, print the pattern and cast it (more details in the Print Settings and Post-Printing sections). This isn't really a full undertaking (yet), I was simply asked to distribute the records for this actuator. Print Settings Rafts: Doesn't Matter Resolution: .2mm - .3mm Supports: No Infill: 10% Post-Printing Cast the Pattern Once the mold is printed, combine a small amount of Ecoflex 00-30 and pour it into the opening of the mold. Allow it to cure for about 4 hours. Demold and Connect After the cast has cured, use your fingertips to pull the cast out of the mold. Insert a short piece of 1/16" tubing into the opening of the motorist and secure it with a zip-tie. Connect it to some low-power source of air, like a squeeze bulb.
