Tiny Ratcheting Cable Clamp

Tiny Ratcheting Cable Clamp

I needed a reliable cable clamp that could replace the removable zip tie holding my earbuds in place, so I turned to 3D printing to create one. The process was also incredibly satisfying. This custom-made clamp effectively secures small cables with diameters ranging from 11/16 inch to 3/16 inch (17mm to 4.7mm) when printed at standard scale. If scaled up, it should be able to handle larger cables. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to assemble the clamp: First, press-fit the spring arm into the main body, which has nubs protruding from it to secure the spring arm in place. Next, attach the ratchet arm to the axle of the main body. Finally, apply a small amount of glue to the top of the spring arm and then glue on the second body. I personally used hot glue for this step.
