Tiny M5x0.8 screw with T10 head for filling bicycle frame mount holes
prusaprinters

Weight weenies rejoice! Here's an M5x0.8 screw with a T10 (Torx) head designed to fill unused holes on a bicycle frame for water bottle cages and similar. More secure than press-in plugs, and lighter than most of them when printed for minimal weight.

Torque spec is - there isn't one. Tighten it by hand with a ¼" driver bit - not in a handle or driver - and stop turning once it snugs up. It's not going to rattle out. If you over tighten, it will break.

With a 0.4mm nozzle you can print this at 0.1 mm with two shells, 3 top and bottom layers and zero infill for an average weight of 0.15g each! That checks any weight weenie box and looks better than electrical tape over the holes.

Many thanks to Mike Shields on the CyclingTips VeloClub Slack for calling out all the ways this design could be improved!
