Tiny Exit Sign with LED Light

Tiny Exit Sign with LED Light

I needed a small exit sign for the actual art crawl Modular Art Pods (http://www.modularartpods.com), so I designed this one measuring roughly 4 inches long by 2.75 inches wide. The LED light is from a $4 LED Light Stick that can be bought at Home Depot (SKU number 719714). You remove the electronics from the case and get a compact, color-changing LED circuit that can be used in countless projects - see the picture. First make sure your printer is well-calibrated, then print TinyExitFront.stl and TinyExitBack.stl without any support structures. I recommend .2mm layer height and white PLA for both parts. Put the LED circuit into place with the battery side facing the back, making sure you have a smooth slide-in fit. An opening was left in the back so that changing batteries won't need opening up the whole case. For an even brighter image line the sides and inside front with tinfoil and use some tape to keep it away from the circuit, now preventing any shorting out - you'll now have a tiny LED light offering multiple color options. Enjoy using it.
