Tiny Clip with Magnets
thingiverse
A versatile clip that can be used on the fridge, as a paper clip, or to mark a position on the edge of a piece of paper. The magnets I used were cylindrical D5x2.5mm and measured 4.8x2.2 when examined closely. Square magnets will also work perfectly well too. You can find them at https://www.indigoinstruments.com/magnets/rare_earth/. When you have your magnets, take the time to measure them carefully and enter that information into MagnetThickness and MagnetDiam in the Customizer. Then switch the Model to "test" to print out a tolerance checker with eleven holes ranging from small to big, from 0 to 10. When you find the hole size that suits you best, enter that tolerance value into the Customizer. Then change the Model to "clip". You can now adjust any of the other settings and get your clip model. One of my pics is a gif but it's not animating as expected. Does anyone know how to make that work? If you happen to have 4.8x2.2mm magnets, then print SmallMagnetClipTest to find out your tolerance. Then print out SmallMagnetClip_5 if your magnet fits hole #5. If you like my designs, consider leaving me a tip to help keep them free! Thank you very much!
