I needed to design a compact box for a personal project (telescope focus motor controller), containing an Arduino Nano V3 and a DRV8825. I added a hole on the side of the box to connect a power supply plug. Too specific, I decided to create a model and learn OpenSCAD in the process. I was inspired by this model: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1657153, which partially met my needs. Since the model wasn't editable, I rebuilt it entirely. The script allows you to choose the box dimensions and easily add or modify holes (cable passage, support placement...).
