Easily create a stable spool holder using Tinkertoy or similar building toys. You need the following components: 4 rods (7" length) and green in color, one rod (5.5" for single spool action or red-colored; 10" for dual spool action and orange-colored), and two circular connectors (natural wood). Assemble the legs by placing two rods in each connector on the outer holes at a 90-degree angle, leaving one hole between them. Connect these leg assemblies using the central rod as the spool's axle. For enhanced stability, attach a bracket designed for Thing-o-matic, although it functions well without. For smoother operation, print this set: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:82800.
