Tinkering with Micro:bit

Tinkering with Micro:bit

This will be a comprehensive collection of resources for a micro:bit compatible system, perfect for tinkering activities such as circuit blocks, scribbling machines, linkages, computational tinkering, and much more. One major motivation behind this effort is to introduce Micro:bit and associated activities as a stepping stone to more advanced microcontrollers like Arduino, without requiring expensive LEGO robotics/power function bricks and motors. Collection 1: Mini DC Motor Housing The goal here is to create an inexpensive, Micro:bit friendly motor option for use with some Tinker Studio activity remixes I'm working on (scribbling machines, circuit blocks, & LEGO tinkering). This case is held together using 4 LEGO Blue Long Pins with Friction (6558), leaving the holes in front and back free for attaching Technic components. Collection 2: LEGO Compatible Pegboard Included here is a sample pegboard sized for LEGO Technic beams. I've drawn inspiration from the original Instructables on the Tinkering Studio, which can be found at this link: https://www.exploratorium.edu/tinkering/blog/2016/05/16/lego-tinkering-pegboard-instructable Coming soon: an Instructables tutorial on this project with assembly and project examples.
