A Zheng3 Kickstarter is underway, causing printers to produce prototypes since Christmas. Observe that zheng3.com has been quiet since Santa's visit. We're using filament like a goose digests food here. To keep costs low, we search for various filaments. Currently, there's no spool standardization, so we have diverse sized spools. The spool spindle fits a 52mm spool. The three-part solution (13 parts including 4.5mm BB's) uses Tinkertoy rod as axle for smoother filament storage. Inserting BB's into the original 608 bearing was challenging, so it's now split into two parts for end user to glue together. The inner spool walls are thin; recommend multiple shells or high infill.
