This object was crafted in Tinkercad. Once fully assembled, when someone walks past the motion sensor up front, all of the lights and the motor will spring to life. The motor will spin rapidly, causing the skeleton hand to emerge from the book then retreat, giving the illusion that it's grasping for you. This entire project can be completed in just 10 simple steps, which should take about an hour or two to finish. For this DIY project I used a budget-friendly 12 dollar motion sensor light purchased from Walmart, and a small, low-cost motor off of Amazon titled GLE2016 1700-7300RPM 1.5-6.5V High Torque Cylinder Electric Mini DC Motor. Here's how to build it: 1. Break down the motion sensor light 2. Remove all of the lights with desoldering equipment 3. Solder wires into the holes where the lights were originally attached 4. Attach colorful lights onto the new wires 5. Integrate the motor into the circuit 6. Disconnect the motion sensor and photoreceptor, then solder wires in their place. Secure these components to the corresponding wires. 7. Place pegs into the holes at the bottom of the book 8. Mount the spinning shaft with the skeleton hand onto the top of the motor 9. Position all components as shown in the pictures 10. Wrap cardboard around the pegs Turn it on and enjoy!
