Students design and test various vehicles equipped with wheels and axles, utilizing inclined planes to measure distances traveled, accuracy in straight-line movement or lateral deviation, and speed. Each group's vehicle is put to the test under these conditions. This project enables students to apply Newton's Laws of Motion while meeting engineering standards. Students are prompted to work together to design and print models using simple machines like wheels and axles, developing a deeper understanding of the engineering design process and honing skills in programs like Tinkercad that will benefit them in future CTE careers.
