Tinkercad Braille Game - Letters - Kyra, Emma, Mr. Jones
myminifactory
This is a braille tactile game designed by 6th graders Emma and Kyra at Hauser Jr. High for students with visual impairments, a project they undertook just weeks after starting to work with Tinkercad. Steam Braille Game Directions: Materials: A specially designed board, cards lettered (A to P), and 2 or more players 1. Place the board on a flat surface and randomly distribute all cards into their designated slots. 2. Run your hand lightly over each card to memorize its location, or take a moment to study and commit the cards' positions to memory. 3. The first player will announce a random letter, such as A. 4. The second player will attempt to recall the card's location based on their previous exploration. If they correctly identify the card, they remove it from the slot and keep it beside them, earning a point for themselves. 5. Players alternate turns until all cards have been removed from the board; the player who has collected the most cards is declared the winner. Notes: The slots holding the cards serve as a useful reference for locating specific letters. For instance, if you know that A occupies the third position over and two positions down on a 16-slot grid, you can use the slots to help you determine its location by counting how many you touch. This technique is particularly helpful because it allows players to navigate the game without relying solely on their sense of touch.
