Tinker-Friendly Parsons Table Enclosure
thingiverse
This is a remix of the Tinker-Friendly LACK Enclosure designed by zuspiel for Mainstays Parsons End table. Because the table itself is smaller in the x and y dimensions, my Anet A8 will need to be installed at a 45-degree angle to the table. The legs are also incredibly short, so I had to lengthen the extension. Once printed, the dimensions appear almost right but require a tiny bit of pressure to seat properly, with a noticeable seam visible. I didn't mind it personally, but reducing the diameter of the knob on the top half by a millimeter or two would make it nearly seamless. The finished setup utilizes yoga mat material, and I have used some brackets (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2001275) to hold it down and reinforce the frame. Print Settings: Printer: MOD-t Resolution: .4 mm Infill: 25% Notes: I used the "High Speed" print profile from the NewMatter store, bumping up the infill to 25%. Both pieces would fit on the print bed at once, but I left it one piece at a time to minimize filament waste in case of failure or needing to reprint another piece because one breaks. Post-Printing: Note: It can be challenging to screw these down with a drill due to most adapters being too wide or too short. Fortunately, I had an extender that reached far enough and was slim enough. How I Designed This: I loaded the design into Tinkercad and shrunk the x and y dimensions by 6 mm. The knob on the top half broke in Tinkercad, so I had to repair it before stretching the z dimension.
