Tinker, a Makerbot Mascot.

Not bad for the first thing I have ever crafted in a 3D modeling program. My idea is that the Makerbot Mascot was made to make, thus a creator. So how are plenty of great projects made at home? With spare parts! I tried to envision how I would put Tinker together. I thought about everything from ball socket joints to recycled camcorder lenses as eyes. I never thought you could sweat and bleed over Solidworks, but I was a believer once it took me three hours to finish one leg. I tried my best to watch-out for those overhangs. As a full time student I managed to squeeze a couple hours a week to work on him and loved every minute of it. Minor Update: 9/29/11 @ 12:44am EST I fixed one minor glitch in the gripper arm that would've caused the arm socket to be too skinny to fit against the body. Thanks Makerbot
