As a makerspace director I like to use the best tool for the job, I also have to use the limited materials we have on hand. At the moment we have quite a few 4-oz tins that are often used for candels or DIY cosmetics/creams and I decided to make an insert for these to help sort small parts and pieces.

Directions

Purchase/souirce your tins before you start. Not every 4-oz tin is identical.

Using calipers measure the interior diameter of the tin at narrowest part (this should be the top of the jar)

Measure the internal depth of the tin

Use Prusa Slicer to scale the design to fit your exact tin.

After checking fit, use a piece of double sided tape (carpet tape or 3M UHB) or hotglue to secure the insert to the bottom of the tin.

Tins can be found a lot of different places here are some on Amazon that would work 4-oz round metal tins.
