sketchfab
This animation is part of a problem-based learning case called "Tin Man" in the veterinary curriculum at Western University of Health Sciences' College of Veterinary Medicine. Tin Man was a 4-month-old domestic short-hair cat from a local shelter diagnosed with a VI/VI right-sided systolic murmur. The animation displays four major defects characteristic of Tetralogy of Fallot: ventricular septal defect (in dark blue), pulmonic stenosis (in light blue), dextroposition of the aorta (green string), and hypertrophy of the right ventricle. This animation was created to assist students in analyzing images and recognizing abnormalities. The original data was gathered by Dr. Alexander Lee, and reassembled by Gary Wisser and Jeff Macalino with guidance from Pedro Diniz, DVM, PhD.
