Tin Can Polishing Remix of Reittec Polisher

The original design used a ikea glass drum. I once had my glass drum break horribly and spill powder EVERYWHERE :,( I Remixed this thing to use a steel drum / Tin Can. Now its much more durable! :D I am from germany so the links lead to german suppliers, but i reckon Stuff's pretty similar in different places around the world. (If not feel free to comment.) Also I changed the Wheel attachment to the axles to the Frame to be spanned from the outside. That way you can change a Wheel without a full disassembly. The upper support is a changed design to adapt it to the new container Tin Can and to make it fit to a Prusa Mini Plus build volume. All parts prtinted on a Prusa mini+ in PETG. I printed nearly all parts with 25% infill. Parts list still incomplete: I will update as I finished listing them. :) [Tools needed for assembly] - A Saw / or something to cut acrylic with - A soldering Iron with some solder - Cable snippers - Cable Ties - Screwdriver (With bit according to chosen Screws) - Some Glue to glue the acrylic to the lid (I used "Pattex Kraftkleber Transparent") - Some Glue to Glue on the thingis in the barrel (Also used "Pattex Kraftkleber Transparent") I also tried using epoxy, that also worked like a charm. (My parts are printed in PETG, choose a glue that works with your filament material.) [Bill of Meterials] Mechanical Parts you need to build it: - 1 piece - Tin Can 3l approx. 160,3mm the ring up and bottom is approx 162,5 and the thing is approx 183mm high https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B08S45Q76M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - 4 pieces - 608zz "Skateboard" Bearings (or use 608RS and lubricate yourself) - 2 pieces - O-Ring 42x35x3,5 (For the fron wheels to make it run smoothly.) (This could also be adapted to the upper downward holder... Maybe i will implement that soon :) - Some acrylic to make see through "glass" for lid. (And something to cut it with :P) - An Ikea drawer organizer thingi to keep spills from going everywhere. (especially helpful if you choose to use Powdered Compounds.) Alot of M3 Screws (I would buy a set with nuts) - 8 pieces - M3 x 12 (to screw in the "inner casing") (with NUTS) - 2 pieces - M3 x 25 (for knob) (with NUTS) - 2 pieces - M3 x 25 (support_wheel_front.stl) (with NUTS) - 2 pieces - M3 x 30 (support_gear_for_bearing.STL) (with NUTS) - 4 pieces - M3 x 25 (gegendruecker3_longer_V2.stl) (with NUTS) - 2 pieces - M4 x 15 (At the Front to change Degrees) (with NUTS and DISCS approx. 12mm Diameter) - 5 pieces - M3 x 20 (gegendruecker1 (2)_smaller.stl and gegendruecker2 (2)_smaller.stl) (with NUTS) - 1 piece - Set Screw M3 x 20 (to fix "drive_gear.STL" to axle of motor.) - 6 pieces - Slit screw M3 x 5 (depends on motor) [Electrical Parts] - 1x - Powersupply rated 12V 1A - 1x - Fuse under 1A (Basically under the rated Power supply amps) and chosen based on used Motor. - 1x - Fuseholder https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07H95D6YG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - 1x - PWM Speed controller for the motor: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07MNX1HFT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - 1x - Male Barrrelplug 5,5/2,5 mm with "screw terminals "https://www.amazon.de/adaptare-93525-DC-Hohl-Stecker-zweipoliger-Terminal-Block/dp/B01H5C29C2/ref=sr_1_13?keywords=barrel+plug+5%2C5+2%2C5&qid=1655448779&sr=8-13 - 1x - Female Barrelplug 5,5/2,5 mm with "screw terminals" https://www.amazon.de/adaptare-93525-DC-Hohl-Stecker-zweipoliger-Terminal-Block/dp/B01H5C29C2/ref=sr_1_13?keywords=barrel+plug+5%2C5+2%2C5&qid=1655448779&sr=8-13 - 1x Motor 12V - 200RPM (JGB37-520-CE) - "Full speed go BRRRRRR!" (Built in depth 23mm) https://www.pollin.de/p/wippenschalter-1xe-a-250v-10a-sw-oe-20-2mm-421023 Materials I sucessfully used for Tumbling: - Siliciumcarbid - Wallnut chels But you can use other stuff too, as the drum is not easily damaged.
