Timingbelt 2mm test
thingiverse
Printing a timing belt for printers or any device that needs one is my very first test. I wasn't able to slice it with Cura due to the thin walls, and I'm currently trying Slic3r instead. The thickness of the belt is 6mm and there are 2mm between teeth, just like a standard GT2 specification. However, the actual width of this particular belt is about 2mm on each side and only 1mm thicker than a real GT2 belt in one area. UPDATE: I finally managed to print it with .2mm layer height and used Slic3r to cut it. The results were excellent - except for small angles at the corners which needed more precise modeling.
