Timing belt mounts for Cobblebot
thingiverse
UPDATE! As the Cobblebot is a completely unreliable and useless printer designed by two overconfident engineers, it doesn't work as advertised... well, it simply fails to function without extensive modifications, I have relocated the X&Y axes to the top frame, which necessitates a more robust mounting system. The updated mount now features holes for two M5 screws to ensure secure fastening and prevent movement during changes in direction. If anyone is interested, I would be happy to post photos of my mods in a separate update; please let me know. Original message: I just received a Cobblebot from Kickstarter and discovered a couple of things that didn't meet my expectations so far... I have opted for alternative pulleys instead of utilizing the ones designed by Cobblebot. Next, I was uncertain about how to secure the X and Y belts onto the rails, prompting me to create these two mounts. The first mount is designed to be attached using an M5 bolt inserted into the rail, securing the belt in place while employing a couple of washers to maintain tightness. The second mount features dual "wings" that allow for secure fastening through the hotend mounts, facilitated by simply passing electrical cable ties through them. Following a test print on my older printer, I discovered that the holes designed for tightening (closing) with M3 screws were too small; I consequently utilized a drill to clean and expand them effectively.
