TimeLight / InfoLight adapter (Siemens, Bosch, Neff, Gaggenau)
thingiverse
InfoLight / TimeLight is a nice feature (applied by Siemens, Bosch, Neff and Gaggenau), showing you information from your dishwasher by a projected image on the floor. My new Siemens dishwasher has it too, but unfortunately the projection was incomplete. The InfoLight / TimeLight is broadcasted from the lower front of the machine, mirrored at the baseplate, and projected on the floor. There is a flaw in the design. If you have a plinth applied in the kitchen, the mirrored light might be caught by it. In my case, it was caught even though a cutout was applied. For a mirror goes: light's angle in = light's angle out; simple physics. So to change the projected location (or the path followed by the light), the angle under which the light goes in should be different. The lamp position is fixed, so the solution is to have the mirror position adjusted! Through https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4647283 I got in touch with mr. Isenberg. After some explanation, I found out that he had solved a comparable issue to what I ran into with my new Siemens dishwasher. He was so kind to even send me an example of one of his prints and some mirror sticker! For my specific situation, the angle of the slope should have been applied the other way around, so I decided this had to be my first project with my new 3D printer. The angle might be different for another situation, please find instructions in the 'How I designed this' part below. You will need a mirror sticker to stick to the printed part; you can find these in the big online stores.
