Timelapse camera mount Anycubic I3 Mega
thingiverse
I was looking for a camera mount that attached directly to the base plate of my Anycubic i3 mega, and I couldn't find any models that met my requirements. Most mounts available were nice, but none had the clip-on feature I needed. This design is is based on my specific i3 mega model, so it may not fit other machines with different designs. The mount is fairly stable, but it does experience a slight vibration when in use. To increase stability, I made some adjustments to stiffen the mount, but this ended up making it difficult to remove without breaking the model, which isn't ideal. This camera mount can be attached to either the front or back of the base plate, and its design allows it to fit over the rear Y pulley, providing a clearer view of the print. I added a hole for an M3 screw to secure it to the base plate, but I haven't needed to use this feature. I understand that there may be different versions of the Anycubic i3 Mega available, and my design only fits the standard model with the "Anycubic" label on the boom. If you have a modified fan enclosure, you may encounter clearance issues when attaching the mount to the front, but it should fit comfortably on the back. The smaller version of this mount is designed for use with the Logitech C920 camera and converts its M6 screw to an M6/camera screw. I created this design after accidentally breaking the original mount off my camera, leaving a large hole in the bottom. This new design fits perfectly into that hole.
