Time2Wake clock
thingiverse
My little one just turned 3 years old, and my wife has asked me to find a wake-up clock that fits her needs. She found one online, a time-to-wake clock that glows green when it's okay for the kid to get out of bed and red when they shouldn't be up yet. But at $40, I thought, "No way!" So being a maker at heart, I decided to take on the challenge myself. I dug out an old Android phone that had been collecting dust in my drawer for two years. As it turns out, it was just waiting to be put to good use. First things first, I needed to find or create an app that would do the trick. Luckily, I stumbled upon MIT App Inventor 2, a user-friendly platform that allows anyone to build their own apps without needing extensive coding skills. It took some time to get everything set up and working as intended, but with patience and persistence, I was able to bring my project to life.
