Time box
thingiverse
A colleague asked me to craft a custom case for his hand-assembled electronic timepiece. I utilized the 3 AAA battery box from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:941081 (modified to accommodate three batteries and printed one millimeter shorter to ensure a snug fit) as a base, then created a surrounding enclosure that snapped together easily. While it's not flawless, I aimed for simplicity and functionality, allowing the components to connect securely without excessive force. To secure the pin caps in place, a small drop of adhesive is all that's needed. The clock itself is a DIY kit, similar to the one offered at http://www.buildcircuit.com.au/digital-clock-diy-kit-build-your-own-digital-clock-with-alarm-in-sydney-australia/.
